Chase Utley collected as many hits last night (3) as he had in the previous seven games combined.  But none was bigger than his hit in the bottom of the 14th inning with Jimmy Rollins on first base. Utley launched his sixth home run of the year into the right field seats, giving him his second and third RBI of the game, and the Phillies a walk-off win.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia started the scoring off by leading off the third inning with a solo home run off of Cole Hamels to put the Marlins up 1-0.

Giancarlo Stanton made it 2-0 Fish with a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning.

Carlos Ruiz got the Phillies on the board against Tom Koehler with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to score Utley.

Utley tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth.

More from Miami Marlins

Marcel Ozuna hit the third solo homer off of Cole Hamels, also leading off an inning in the seventh, to put the Marlins back ahead 3-2.

Domonic Brown scored on a Jeff Baker error in the bottom of the seventh to knot it up again at three, and it stayed that way until the wee hours on the East Coast.

That was until Chris Hatcher allowed Rollins to reach on an infield single, followed by Utley’s shot to left.
