Let this be a lesson to fans everywhere—never count your drafted players before they are actually drafted. On Thursday the 2014 NBA Draft took place, and the Philadelphia 76ers had the No. 3 overall pick.

Speculation over who would be there with that pick ran rampant for a while and then Joel Embiid broke his foot and all bets were off. That didn’t stop one Sixers fan from banking on Andrew Wiggins becoming the newest member of his favorite team.

Instead of Wiggins being passed over by both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks, Wiggins went No. 1 overall to the Cavs.

Milwaukee upped and drafted former-Duke star Jabari Parker at No. 2 and then in a twist of ironic fate for that poor Philly fan, the Sixers drafted Embiid at No. 3.

Had Embiid not broke his foot though, the Sixers fan who created said Wiggins jersey may not have actually been wrong.

Then again, as the saying goes, “if it’s and buts were candy and nuts…”

Instead, that Sixers fan put down at least a cool $79.95 (up to $299.95) on a jersey that is only a joke and can’t be worn with pride.
