By Josh Sanchez
On Sunday morning, news broke that Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib, who was signed to a big money deal early in free agency, was arrested in Dallas, Texas earlier in the day for public intoxication.

No one was surprised considering Talib’s up-and-down past, but it turns out that everyone may have jumped the gun and rushed to judgement.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, it was NOT Aqib Talib that was arrested in Dallas.
Instead, it was his brother with a very similar and easy to confuse name.
This all according to Aqib Talib’s agent, Todd France.
So the story goes…
The Broncos have to be thrilled with the news that it was not Aqib Talib who was arrested. Of course, poor Yaqub still got locked up, but the Broncos don’t have a multi-million dollar investment in him.
If Talib would have been arrested yet again, it likely would have been followed by a lengthy suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Now, he can bail out his brother Yaqub with his fat contract and get ready to help the Broncos on the field.
