The Washington Wizards are planning on making this offseason an period in which they get better than they were in 2013-14 and if you missed them this past year then you missed one of their best seasons in years.
Things started to come together for the Wizards this past season and this offseason will be spent making sure the roster that won big in 2013-14 isn’t ravaged by free agency. As a result, the Wizards are expected to meet with Trevor Ariza in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Trevor Ariza has significant interest — including Cavs — and his Wizards coach, Randy Wittman, will be in L.A. by morning to meet him.

Ariza is expected to get interest in other places, as Woj mentioned the Cleveland Cavaliers as possible suitors, and there will likely be more. But if Ariza can be sold by Wittman on the direction of the Wizards and he can get him to buy in, then we may see him be willing to tale a little less money to return to a team he truly believes in.
That’s a whole lot of assuming and Ariza might not be open to taking less money to return tot he Wizards but there’s something special going on in D.C. at the moment and Ariza’s future there boils down to how much he believes in what Wittman and the rest of the team are doing.
