The Indiana Pacers don’t have a ton of wiggle room to improve their starting lineup as it’s already one of the best in the league. However, their bench could use some work, especially considering they’re likely to lose Evan Turner in free agency.

More from Indiana Pacers

The Pacers have already made a couple small moves to give themselves a bit more shooting depth off the bench, but they may have some interest in adding another ball handler (who just so happens to score) in Rodney Stuckey.

A former member of the Detroit Pistons, Rodney Stuckey has seemingly fallen out of favor in Motown and not only do the Indiana Pacers have interest in him but the sentiment may be mutual according to Candace Buckner of the Indy Star.

Buckner goes on to suggest that while Rodney Stuckey is likely to have other suitors, the Indiana Pacers are one team he’s currently looking at.

There’s been no talk of any numbers at this point, though if affordable (and that’s a question mark) Stuckey could be a solid presence off the Indiana Pacers bench as not only can he play the point guard position, he will give the Pacers a much needed offensive spark off the bench.

He’s not known to be much of a defender, though given Indiana’s high quality team defense, his inefficiencies will likely be masked.

If Stuckey is to sign, it’ll likely need to be at a reduced rate as the Indiana Pacers have already eaten into portions of their mid-level exception with other contracts.
