The Minnesota Timberwolves really want to get this whole Kevin Love situation sorted out before it’s too late and they seemingly have already missed one or two different key points in the offseason to have had a deal done by.

Minnesota was rumored to be trading Love before the NBA Draft arrived but that didn’t happen and they similarly failed to move him before free agency opened on Monday. That hasn’t killed trade talks though involving Love but there are significant hang ups keeping things from happening.
According to Tim Kawakami, the Golden State Warriors remain steadfast in their stance that any Kevin Love trade will not include Klay Thompson while the Wolves are saying no trade will happen without Klay Thompson.
NBA source (*) just reiterated that GSWs have no intent to put Klay Thompson into any trade offer. But Kevin Love is still the main target.

Quentin Tarantino couldn’t have scripted this Mexican Standoff any better.
The bottom line is that Love might end up liking it in Minnesota if they can produce a winning season and convince him to stay beyond 2015. So far they’ve done nothing in free agency to show any sort of effort and it’s looking like Love will be moved at some point between now and the trade deadline this upcoming February.
