Sergio Garcia recently had a little fun with golfers warming up to take on Bethpage Black. Garcia went to the driving range at Bethpage, and purchased a bucket of balls while drawing some attention from the local New Yorkers. As a crowd started to form on the range, Sergio made everyone’s day with a megaphone announcement saying that the TaylorMade crew was there to fit everyone for a brand new SLDR S driver.

Garcia’s surprise showing was part of TaylorMade’s “Distance for All” campaign, which includes 1,500 events nationwide that promote the SLDR line of equipment. As I’m sure the golfers at Bethpage will tell you, the SLDR S driver is amazing, and I would recommend attending a “Distance for All” event to demo the new club.

An interesting part of the video is when the players take their new driver to the famous first tee at Bethpage Black. The locals experienced the butterflies felt by the pros as they teed off in front of a large crowd. Good thing Sergio was there to joke around with everyone because it is not easy to hit the fairway on the first hole at the Black.

Garcia did a great job as MC, and the fortunate golfers at Bethpage will have the opportunity to approach the greens with a shorter club in their hands.
