Michael Strahan might want to hire more security after the scary scene that unfolded outside ABC’s Times Square studios Tuesday morning. According to Page Six, a knife-wielding homeless man named Andre Johnson was tackled and arrested by security guards after he began acting like a maniac. Afterward, Johnson confessed to police that he was there to murder ABC personality and former football star Strahan.

An ABC spokesperson said of the incident:

"It was a scary situation but thanks to the fast actions of NYPD the situation was quickly under control."

Strahan himself was inside the building at the time and was never in any danger. It’s not known why Johnson, who is being sought on a number of out-of-state warrants, wanted to kill Strahan. It’s possible he just saw Strahan on television and was overcome with the desire to slice him open with a knife.

I think most of us have experienced a similar sensation while watching Strahan, but the difference between us and Andre Johnson is that we don’t actually pick up a knife and go to kill Strahan, we just yell something rude at the television.

Seriously, Strahan sucks on TV. He needs to go away now. He should take this threat as a sign from Jesus, or whatever, and find a different line of work that doesn’t cause crazy men to grab the nearest sharp object and come after him thirsting for blood.
