LHP Anderson Placido is no longer a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks organization after he was cut for allegedly stealing from teammates.

More from Arizona Diamondbacks

The kicker? Placido was cut by the Cleveland Indians several years ago for the exact same offense. I guess some guys never learn.

Placido, a starting pitcher for the Hillsboro Hops, allegedly snuck into the clubhouse during a game to take items belonging to other members of the Hops. Placido denied taking the items when confronted by manager J.R. House, but the stolen objects were later found among Placido’s belongings.

Some big-time sleuthing there by the Hops.

D-backs farm director Mike Bell wouldn’t give any details on the allegations but only said that Placido had been cut for breaking organizational rules.

As mentioned previously, Placido was also dumped in 2012 by the Indians for stealing. He had a couple years to improve his cat burglar skills but failed to do so. He at least could have learned to hide the stuff after stealing it, but even that simple lesson did not come to him.

Anderson Placido is bad at baseball, bad at stealing and bad at lying. I wonder if he’s any good at flipping burgers.
