What would you do to score free lifetime admission to see your favorite minor league baseball team? Would you get the team’s logo permanently tattooed onto some random part of your body? Just for free seats?

More from MLB

If you answered “yes” to that question, you are just like the 36 fans who had a Syracuse Chiefs logo etched into their skin in exchange for lifetime seats at Chiefs games.

Some of you are probably thinking, “Hey, you could totally scam the Chiefs by getting a fake tattoo.” Ah, but the Chiefs are way ahead of you on that. As one fan explained via DC Sports Blog, there were all sorts of special stipulations to guard against fakery:

"Wicks said the black-and-white restriction was part of the team’s attempt to guard against counterfeit free-admission-for-life Chiefs tattoos. The design also features a special marking that can only be seen under a blacklight."

Only 36 people ended up getting the free-seat tattoos after the Chiefs cut the promotion short due to overwhelming demand. Who knows how many free seats the Chiefs would’ve given away had they allowed the promotion to play out. People don’t seem to mind getting random goofy stuff tattooed onto their bodies. They don’t even need to be drunk, it seems like.
