The NBA free agency period is undoubtedly the focal point of the sports world at this point in time, and today fans can take solace in the fact that a familiar NBA face is finally going home after being discharged from the hospital.

More from NBA

Craig Sager, TNT’s longtime sideline reporter for the NBA, was released from the hospital yesterday just in time to spend the 4th of July with his family:

Sager has been battling with acute leukemia since before the NBA Playoffs began. Thankfully, it seems that after a hard fought battle, Sager has defeated the disease for now.

Sager is known worldwide by NBA fans due to his tenured career at TNT. Sager’s fashion style, which may be among the worst in broadcasting history, has become his calling card. You can be certain that if their is an NBA game on TNT, Sager will be their with a new flashy suit and tie that is as appealing as it is appalling.

Some believe that Sager’s style has permeated throughout the NBA, as seen in post game press conferences over the past several years where multiple players wear increasingly odd dress choices.

Here is to wishing Sager and his family a happy, healthy, and extended 4th of July celebration. Fans around the world hope to see him back on the sidelines next year providing his excellent insight.
