The Cleveland Cavaliers seem to have somehow worked their way into the running for LeBron James and that in of itself is newsworthy, but there’s more going on behind the doors of the Cavaliers front office than just trying to get LeBron James back.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

There has been talk about the Cavs trading Dion Waiters since back before the trade deadline in February but most of the rumors were brushed off as being overblown. But over time the rumors have persisted and it seems that they just won’t shrink down to a size that can be ignored.

According to Sam Amico from Fox Sports Ohio, the Cavaliers are still getting trade calls about Dion Waiters which is putting the front office in a difficult situation.

"Dion Waiters seems to be the name other teams are asking about most and Cavs general manager David Griffin is in a difficult spot. He really likes Waiters, but Griffin also knows he may have to move the talented shooting guard, sources said."

The chances that Waiters is actually traded are hard to gauge as he’s been rumored to be on the move for so long but hasn’t actually moved that it’s hard to believe what’s true and what’s not. Cleveland seems to no doubt be getting trade calls for the guard though and it may only be a matter of time before he’s moved.
