Geno Smith on Jets Super Bowl run: ‘Why not us?’
By Dan Zinski
Geno Smith went to the Rex Ryan school of keeping a low profile in the offseason. Clearly, Geno is not worried about the waves his words might make. Or perhaps he is just not very bright?

In either case, Geno Smith is talking and funny, possibly irresponsible things are coming out. The subject of the Jets possibly making a Super Bowl run in 2014 – with Geno as the starting QB and Chris Johnson going for another 2,000-yard season at running back – came up, and Geno had this to say (via Ian Rapoport):
"I feel good about our team making a Super Bowl run. … You know, why not us?"
Why not you Geno? Well I’ll give you one reason why not you.
You. YOU GENO. You are the reason why not you.
Let’s not even get into the fact that Geno ripped that line off from Russell Wilson. Does Geno think he’s Russell Wilson now?
Does he think Chris Johnson is Marshawn Lynch? Does he think Rex Ryan is Pete Carroll? Does he think the Jets have a defense that approaches the Seahawks’ D?
Well, there is one similarity between the Jets and Seahawks: Michael Vick is very comparable to Seattle backup Tarvaris Jackson. So I’ll give you that one.
But beyond that…give me a break Geno Smith. Put away the Super Bowl talk until you’ve at least made the playoffs, okay bud?
