The Chicago Bulls were one of the first teams to truly gain any sort of traction when it came to Carmelo Anthony rumors but are they the first team to get a polite ‘no thanks’ from the All-Star forward? After a week of meeting with teams and a weekend to think about what he wants to do, there is still no word on Carmelo Anthony’s decision.

More from Chicago Bulls

There has been plenty of rampant speculation though as a report surfaced on Tuesday stating that the Bulls were out of the running to land Melo this summer. Needless to say, Chicago Sun-Times reporter Joe Crowley jumped all over the rumors and denied all of them.

Chicago may not be at the top of the list anymore when it comes to landing Melo but they’re no doubt still alive in the running to sign him.
