Instead, there is just newer rumors about different places that Melo might be going as the Miami Heat have now entered the conversation in what seems to be a real way. According to Marc Stein, who is in no way reporting Melo is interested in Miami, there’s a notion among executives that the All-Star forward might be waiting on the decision of Chris Bosh before deciding where he wants to go as Bosh to Houston could pave the way for Carmelo to Miami.
This, of course, is a long shot to happen but so was LeBron James leaving the Cavaliers at one point during his tenure there. It’s a deal that makes sense though as trading the salary of the Big 3 for a Big 2 is possible if bringing together Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James was possible four years ago.
There’s a lot of math involved in making Melo to Miami happen but basketball fans don’t care about that, all they want is high quality basketball and Melo teaming up with LeBron in South Beach is as high quality as it gets.
