As it looks right now, the Dallas Mavericks are going to lose out on the Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes. They tried their best, made their pitch just like the others did, but now it appears they’re on the outs, which means it’s time to turn their attention to a Plan B, which could include either Chandler Parsons or Luol Deng.

More from Dallas Mavericks

There’s no doubt that the Mavericks would like to bring a small forward in to help Dirk Nowitzki with the scoring, and according to Sam Amick, it appears at the moment that while Deng is an intriguing option, a hard run at Parsons might be better suited for the organization going forward.

Of course, bringing in either player would be a huge coup for this team that, as we saw this past season, is not that far away from contending for an NBA championship once again.

The only question now is, which player that ultimately think will fit better going forward, and at the moment, that man seems to be Parsons.
