Some times during the Fourth of July we forget to honor the troops, caught up in the fireworks and other festivities of the holiday. over the weekend Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams was getting ready to take a flight and he noticed a Marine was getting ready to board a flight.

Williams posted on Twitter that he gave up his first class seat so the Marine could sit there, and instead went to sit in his seat.

He also shared it on Facebook, with the caption “He just doesn’t know it yet but he will be sitting in this seat when he boards the plane I always give up my 1st class seat! #isalutethetroops!”:

In the comments Williams responded to some detractors saying: “I always do that and for those of you that are saying I shouldn’t have posted keep calm and enjoy my page and happy 4th of July (it’s called being patriotic for life)”
