NFL betting odds 2014: Peyton Manning favored to be NFL MVP

The 2014-15 NFL regular season is going to be here before we know it and the folks in Las Vegas are eagerly beginning to prepare for the opening weekend of the season. With that preparation comes betting odds and we now have a look at who is favored to be the best player in the league this season.

According to the opening lines set by Bovada.lv, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is the heavy favorite to come away with the NFL MVP award.

Quarterbacks dominate the top of the list as you would expect, with Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts star Andrew Luck rounding out the top five.

Jay Cutler, Matthew Stafford, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton all follow, before we finally get to some running backs.

LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson are the first non-quarterbacks on the list, and they all have 25-to-1 odds to claim the award.
