Aqib Talib will not take any action against Dallas Police Department for mistaken identity
By Jack Crosby
This past week, for just a few minutes, we were all under the assumption that Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib had gotten himself into some hot water, all thanks to the fact that a spokesman for the Dallas Police Department went all over twitter and announced that they had him in custody.

Well as it turned out, it wasn’t the NFL star that they had, rather his brother, Yaqub.
From that point on, most people assumed that the Broncos’ corner had a pretty nice lawsuit on his hands for the mix up, but it seems that if there was any grudge he was holding against the Dallas PD, that’s gone, as he kindly brushed off the incident recently.
“No, definitely not,” Talib said when asked if he is mistaken for his brother. “That doesn’t happen too much. But that’s some hard-working guys in Dallas. They were just doing their job and they made a mistake, an honest mistake, man. It happens sometimes, man.”
Of course, whether or not he would win the lawsuit would be up in the air, and that sort of distraction this close to the season would be unwanted, at best.
Talib is getting set for his first season as a Bronco after he signed a lucrative contract over the recent free agency period, and thankfully, he will enter this season without any legal ramifications hanging over his head.
