Heading into the NBA free agency period, LeBron James heading back to the Cleveland Cavaliers was a bit of a running joke. Now, as we get closer to decision time for The King, the reality that he could be headed back “home” is very much a possibility within the coming days.

On Wednesday, more eyes were opened to that possibility as the Cavaliers involved themselves in a three-team deal with the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics that saw them part ways with Jarrett Jack, opening up about $24 million in cap space. With the team only needing about $20 million to land LeBron, we could be headed for one of the biggest full-circle stories in the history of sports.
So how are the Cavs feeling at this moment? Well, according to Sam Amico, they’re rather upbeat on this Wednesday morning.
In deal, Cavs create trade exception for themselves. Clears about $24 mil off cap. Falls in line w what I reported: Cavs very active, upbeat

Of course they’re upbeat, they’re about to turn the NBA world upside down and have their fans thinking positively for once in about the past four years.
Now the Miami Heat and Pat Riley, well, I don’t think we need any national reporter to tell us that they’re feeling anything other than upbeat at the moment.
