Once the Cleveland Cavaliers learned that LeBron James would be returning home, the team began to show some interest in some of James’ former Miami Heat teammates like Ray Allen and James Jones.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

It appears that Allen and Jones aren’t the only former Heat players that are receiving some attention from the Cavaliers front office.

According to Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio, the Cavaliers are showing interest in free agent big man Chris “Birdman” Andersen.

Andersen has been receiving a lot of attention from multiple teams, so the Cavaliers are just the latest team added to that list.

If Anderson were to join the Cavaliers, Cleveland would have one of the most energetic front courts in the NBA between Anderson Varejao and Birdman.

Whether or not Birdman eventually joins LeBron James in Northeast Ohio remains to be seen, but it would certainly be an intriguing fit.
