Charlotte also happens to be in the market for the guard, which is why the rumors that they were interested in former Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson were so believable. But while those rumors made sense, they aren’t as true as they may have seemed.
According to Rick Bonnell from the Charlotte Observer, the Hornets interest level in Stephenson isn’t as high as it may have seemed judging from reports throughought the weekend.
This isn’t to say that there is no interest in Stephenson at all from the Hornets but they might not be ready to jump through hoops the way we may have thought they might to get him. He seems like he could be a fit for the Hornets but hi antics int he Eastern Conference Finals may have cost him some interest on the open market and if anything it cost him some motivation form teams who may have otherwise been willing to be aggressive in their pursuit of signing him.
