It was announced today that LeBron James signed a two-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, leaving open the opportunity to opt out next summer. The reasoning behind it is because James’ camp is anticipating a rise in the salary cap and this would give James the deal to negotiate a new deal.
It is widely expected and believed that James is committed to the Cavaliers in the long-term and that the short deal isn’t because James’ envisions himself leaving. Despite that there are already rumors connecting him to other teams like the New York Knicks.
As long as the Cavaliers have LeBron James, Minnesota Timberwolves is interested in being there if he gets trade. Love would reportedly re-sign long-term if he was playing in Cleveland with James.
James having the option to leave isn’t deterring Kevin Love’s interest in being traded there.
ESPN sources say LeBron's contract structure is unlikely to deter Kevin Love from wanting to commit to Cavs if Cleveland can indeed land him

Sources say KLove remains "intrigued" by chance to join LeBron with Cavs. I'm told Wolves, though, still asking for off-limits AWiggins

Love shouldn’t be deterred. If he gets traded there, James would be more inclined to stay and play along side Love and Kyrie Irving, just like Love wants to be the third piece of the puzzle.
