The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to wheel and deal after landing LeBron James on Friday as they’ve completed yet another trade that helps them out this upcoming season. It’s a trade that had to be altered slightly but it’s a trade that nevertheless has been agreed upon and completed.

More from Charlotte Hornets

According to Sam Amcio from Fox Sports Ohio, the Cleveland Cavaliers have finalized their acquisition of Brendan Haywood from the Charlotte Hornets, sending Scotty Hopson in exchange for the package.

Haywood is the gem of the trade but this is hardly a blockbuster move for the Cavs. What it does do though is give them a valuable asset to add to their growing roster of excellent talent as Haywood is going to fit right in as a guy Cleveland can lean on.

The trade was already agreed upon on draft night but the details have been since altered. Originally, Cleveland was sending Alonzo Gee to the Hornets but they traded Gee to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday afternoon.

Cleveland still found a way to make the Haywood deal happen and it’s yet another smart move that they’ve made this offseason.
