Pau Gasol may be the next NBA free agent domino to fall, and it appears he will be heading to the Chicago Bulls.

More from Chicago Bulls

Late Friday night/early Saturday morning — depending on where you are in the country — reports surfaced about Gasol and the Bulls closing in on a deal.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports said that the two sides were working to complete a deal.

With that in mind, there is also a report from Jesus Sanchez of Spanish news outlet Marca who is stating the deal between Gasol and the Bulls is “practically complete.”

Gasol plans to take a medical examination before returning to Barcelona.

If the report from Marca proves to be true, it would be an upgrade for the Bulls.

In Chicago, Gasol could play alongside Joakim Noah in the Bulls front court and provide an intriguing one-two punch.

Gasol could then rotate to center when Taj Gibson comes off of the bench.

With the two sides reportedly working to complete a deal, we could find out if Gasol is the newest member of the Chicago Bulls roster sooner rather than later.
