Paul Pierce Rumors: Interest in Houston Rockets depended on Chris Bosh?
By Josh Hill
The Houston Rockets are looking at ways they can bounce back from their embarrassing end to the week and a veteran forward may end up being of some use to them on the open market. But while there has been reported interest in the Rockets from Paul Pierce, their chances of signing the future Hall of Famer may have been tied to the plans that blew up on them this week.

According to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle, the Rockets have heard from Paul Pierce with interest in signing with the team but it’s unclear if that interest depended on Chris Bosh signing with the team or not.
"Paul Pierce has shown serious interest and likely would not be as costly as Ariza or especially Deng, but it was unclear if his interest was in joining a contender the Rockets were thought to be with Bosh presumably in the fold."
Bosh seemed to be a lynchpin for the Rockets plans this offseason but things are blowing up in a bad way on them after the forward decided to sign with the Miami Heat on Friday. Losing Bosh also caused the Rockets to send away Jeremy Lin and a first-round pick to the Los Angeles Lakers which is proving to be a boneheaded move if there ever was one from Houston.
Getting Pierce is a cheap option but it’s not clear if he’s no longer interested in the team because it’s not the lineup it was looking to be last week when Pierce’s initial interest cropped up.
