He’s a familiar face to Bulls fans as Kirk Hinrich appears destined to re-sign with the Bulls following his two year deal with the team expiring this summer. Adrian Wojnarowski pegs the situation as ‘destined’, noting that the Charlotte Hornets have had interest in Hinrich but the Bulls are just too right for Hinrich.
Hinrich and the Bulls truly seem to be inseperable which to some fans is insufferable. But at the end of the day, Hinrich isn’t a terrible backup point guard — he’s just not the answer many are looking for at shooting guard.
It’s not that fans dislike Hinrich, it’s just that this smacks of a classic Bulls penny pinching move where they bring in a guy who is adequate at best to fill a need that the desperately should fill with someone much more qualified.
