Kevin Garnett excited about future of Nets without Paul Pierce

The Brooklyn Nets didn’t even offer Paul Pierce a contract as he left the team on Saturday night to sign a new two-year deal with the Washington Wizards.

While he hasn’t commented on his exact feelings about the move, Pierce’s buddy back in Brooklyn seems to be letting the move roll right off of him as he prepares to advance the Nets beyond where they were in 2013-14.
According to Chris Broussard from ESPN.com, despite losing his longtime pal to the Washington Wizards, Kevin Garnett is still excited about the future of the Brooklyn Nets and remains committed to helping the team win as long as her can or is allowed to.
It’s not that Garnett is tossing stones or anything at Pierce but the fact of the matter is that he’s not going to sit around the Barclays Center and cry about losing Pierce. He may hold it against Pierce in some ways, but what matters is that KG is committed to the Nets and that’s all fans really care about right now.
