The NBA offseason is in full swing and now that LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have chosen where they want to play, the names of other free agents are starting to fly off the market. Already the likes of Chris Bosh, Pau Gasol and Luol Deng have found new homes and next up on the list seems to be part-time jokester, part-time shooting guard Lance Stephenson.

More from Charlotte Hornets

Stephenson cost himself some attention with his antics in the Eastern Conference Finals but he’s now starting to hear his name more and more as the free agent pipeline continues to flow more and more freely. With Luol Deng coming off the market on Sunday, the conversation involving Stephenson is starting to pick up.

According to Pacers beat writer Scott Agness, two teams to keep an eye on in the Lance Stephenson sweepstakes are the Dallas Mavericks and the Charlotte Hornets.

Agness mentioning the Hornets seems to clash with a report from Charlotte beat wrter Rick Bonnell who stated that the interest in Stephenson from the Hornets wasn’t that strong.

Still, the Mavericks are being rumored more and more with Stephenson, who’s on court antics seem in line with something Mark Cuban would love to pay for to have on his team.
