The Houston Rockets had a decision on their hands to try and either match Chandler Parsons’ offer sheet from the Dallas Mavericks and take him back or let him walk to one of their most bitter rivals.

Following the loss of Chris Bosh back to the Miami Heat and the trading of Jeremy Lin, it was looking like the Rockets might match the offer sheet on Parsons since they basically had nothing better going.

According to Adrian Wojanrowksi from Yahoo! Sports, the Houston Rockets have declined the contract of Chandler Parsons and he will be headed to the Dallas Mavericks as previously agreed upon.

Parsons heading to Dallas now shifts the free agent landscape again as the likes of Trevor Ariza and Lance Stephenson will now be affected by the move that Dallas has just made and the $46 million they invested in Parsons.

Still, Dallas needed to get Parsons and the Rockets let them have him, which may be a move that comes back to bite them in the end.
