Australian point guard Dante Exum was the mystery player going into the 2014 NBA Draft. Ultimately, the Utah Jazz decided to take the risk and select the highly regarded guard with the No. 5 pick overall.

While Exum’s talent could not be questioned as it was evident from the start, playing in Australia meant questions about his level of competition. Dante himself even admitted he was not sure what type of player he could be, but yesterday he made his debut in the NBA summer league, and boy did he look impressive.

He may have not put up the most flashy numbers, 10 points shooting 40% from the field, three assists, and three rebounds, but he did show off his variability and wide range of skills. To top it all off, Exum’s birthday was yesterday.
