Lance Stephenson Rumors: Pacers offer likely to get beaten by another team
By Josh Hill
Lance Stephenson raised a lot of eyebrows thanks to his often hilarious but all too childish antics in the Eastern Conference Finals this year.

Those antics have likely cost him some interest on the open market and it may be one reason why he’s only gotten an offer from one team thus far.
According to NBA scribe Chuck Myron, Lance Stephenson’s standing offer from the Indiana Pacers isn’t a bad deal but it’s a deal that will likely get eclipsed by someone who will end up tearing him away from Indiana this offseason.
"The Pacers have drawn a pretty hard line in the sand, and it’d be tough for them to go back on it now, since their other signings have eaten up a lot of room against the tax threshold, which they’re not crossing. It’ll come down to whether a team is willing to do better than five years and $44MM, and I think someone will take that plunge, make a superior offer, and he’ll leave the Pacers."
Indiana would like to get Stephenson back but they may be coming out and saying that knowing that their offer will get eclipsed and they want to end things on good terms. But when he wasn’t blowing in people’s ears, Stephenson was one of the most effective pieces of the Pacers roster and that’s the guy everyone will want to sign, not the ear blowing bafoon from the Conference Finals.
