Remember when a basketball team had a home and an away jersey? Man, are those days long gone. Now you’re lucky if you just have a few jerseys in your arsenal, but at professional sports teams look to make extra money they continue to shell out new looks.

More from Indiana Pacers

In contrast, the Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers are going for more of a retro appearance this season as they are three teams that will be participating in the Hardwood Classics jersey nights.

As we’ve seen in recent years, a handful of NBA teams will pay homage to their franchise history and wear uniforms from their past. There’s no solid confirmation at this point as to who else (outside of the three previously mentioned teams) will be wearing the threads, though we do have our first look at the Kings, Pacers and Raptors.

None of the jerseys are new looks, obviously, since they’re going for a throwback appearance. And teams like the Toronto Raptors have worn their jersey recently, so their addition isn’t exactly breaking news by any stretch. However both the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings haven’t worn these particular throwback jerseys for a while and I’m sure most fans will enjoy the new look.

In the past we’ve seen teams break these uniforms out for five to seven games per season, though the NBA has not given official word as to when and how often they will be worn.

How say you, Fansided? Do you like the throwback uniform look? Or should looks be kept simple?
