Eagles RB McCoy: Sproles has ‘quickest feet I’ve ever seen’
By Cory Buck
The Philadelphia Eagles plan to sport the best running game in football once more. They’ve heavily invested in the position, boasting LeSean McCoy as the feature back with Darren Sproles in a role familiar to him — a complementary back with big play potential. McCoy now doesn’t have to be the resident speedster in the backfield and he knows it.

LeSean McCoy recently lauded his new teammate on Rich Eisen’s podcast, saying “Sproles has the quickest feet I’ve ever seen out of a player.”
That’s strong praise from a guy whose feet aren’t exactly made of lead either.
“He’ll help us out tremendously,” McCoy continued. “I think the best thing about him, what he brings to this team is not only leadership and experience, but also just another big playmaker on the team.”
The Eagles offense is built around steady progression in the running game opening the defense up for big play potential. Without DeSean Jackson, the Eagles needed to retain that element of depth and speed to their offense and they got it with Darren Sproles. Watch him play and you’ll see what McCoy means about the feet.
With Sproles in tow, expect the Eagles to pick up right where they left off in 2013. If Nick Foles, another one of McCoy’s lauded teammates, can continue his strong play from last season, the running game should be ready to anchor what will once again be a contender for the NFC East crown.
