The Chicago Bulls are looking at this season with a lot of hope as the team went out and added two huge pieces to their team and cut out an expensive one in Carlos Boozer.

More from Chicago Bulls

All of this was an attempt to finally field a championship worthy roster and the additions of Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic have gotten fans excited about this upcoming season. But while the new additions are nice, the Bulls need Derrick Rose to be able to walk five steps without screwing up his knees — which is apparently a lot easier said than done.

NBA expert Moke Hamilton from SNY.tv and Basketball Insiders believes that if Rose is healthy all season long, then missing 12 games to make sure he stays fit is probably a good route to travel.

This is a fair assessment of what the Bulls are likely to do with Rose, but this is all contingent on his knees now blowing out before he can even get through 10 games, let along 70.

Back in the 90s, the Bulls famed ‘Quest for 70’ was all about winning games but in 2014-15, the Quest for 70 is all about Derrick Rose playing as full as season as he can.
