The Philadelphia Eagles had a quarterback in Nick Foles that took control of the offense and seemed to lock down the spot once and for all. Running back LeSean McCoy led the league in rushing with 1,607 yards on 314 carries.

Not only did he lead the league in rushing, he led the league in carries with 314. The Eagles brought in New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles and it looked like McCoy might be getting less carries in the 2014, but that isn’t necessarily the case.

From Philly Mag:

"Does that mean they want to give McCoy more of a breather in 2014? The answer, as I see it, is no…McCoy is only 26 years old and the focal point of the Eagles’ offense. Matching last year’s number of touches would be no surprise. Assuming health, he’s as close to a lock as there is to finish as one of the top three rushers in the NFL."

For those who have McCoy on their fantasy football team in keeper leagues, that is good news. McCoy set a franchise record in rushing yards last season, while leading the league.
