The Chicago Bulls missed out on Carmelo Anthony this summer but they still managed to come away with quite a free agency haul with just two players.

After missing on Carmelo Anthony, the Bulls picked up former Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol as well as Real Madrid and former first round draft pick Nikola Mirotic. Bringing Mirotic over to the NBA — finally — is something that Bulls fans have been waiting on for years and can finally now relish in.
But Gasol may be the bigger signing and he knows just how important his years in Chicago will be. The new Bulls forward told the Spanish site Marca.com that he thinks he can win a title in Chicago otherwise he wouldn’t have signed there in the first place.
That’s good news for Bulls fans who have been skeptical of how well Gasol will work out. But Chicago amnestied Carlos Boozer which means with Taj Gibson coming off the bench as a Sixth Man, the Bulls will be rolling with a frontcourt of Nikola Mirotic, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah — which is something opposing teams will not be looking forward to facing in 2014-15.
