The Los Angeles Lakers are considered by many to be one of the losers of this NBA free agency period, which you have to imagine does not make Kobe Bryant a happy man as he gets set to make his return this upcoming season. While the Lakers did make some moves, they weren’t considered the most favorable ones.

Well, we could all be wrong about Bryant not being satisfied, because he told reporters on Friday that he can definitely say that he is happy with what the team has done during summer months so far.

Whether you believe that or not, that’s your choosing, but it can be said that the team did whiff on a few things.

More from Los Angeles Lakers

Aside from the drafting of Julius Randle, which many saw as genius, they failed to land Carmelo Anthony during the free agency period, even though they reportedly offered him a maximum contract. While an outside shot, they couldn’t convince LeBron James to consider them. Now remember, at one point, Kobe openly endorsed the team bringing in either one –or both– to play with him.

The there was the trade for point guard Jeremy Lin with the Rockets, followed by “winning” the bidding war for Carlos Boozer when he was amnestied by the Chicago Bulls. Both moves were heavily criticized, and thought to not make Bryant happy at all.

Oh, and all of this is not to mention that he lost his buddy, Pau Gasol, to the Bulls.

Who knows, maybe he’s just talking about the team re-signing Nick “Swaggy P” Young?
