While Henrik Lundquist was getting all the time in the limelight between the pipes for the New York Rangers on the ice, backup goaltender Cam Talbot is giving fans a reason to notice him too.

Apparently Talbot is a major fan of the 1980’s iconic comedy “Ghostbusters.” So much so that he’s commissioned a mask adorned with the Zuul Dog and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man as well Sigourney Weaver and Bill Murray, according to ProHockeyTalk.

More from New York Rangers

Talbot appeared in just 21 games this past season, with a 12-6-1 record and a .941 save percentage and a 1.64 goals against average while backing up Lundquist.

However, this isn’t the first time that Talbot had gone all “Ghostbusters” on us. He had a mask made from the same artist with different iconic moments from the series put on it, including the iconic car and many other things.

What may be even better is the nickname that has stuck with Talbot because of this. See, apparently he’s now the “GoalBuster,” get it?

According to the artists Facebook page, that is indeed Talbot’s nickname:

"So now it is here, the next chapter of Cam Talbot´s ghost hunting New York Rangers masks…. Every single mask of Talbot´s latest Ghostbusters masks has become such huge successes, so Cam now even has his new nickname; GoalBuster…. But be careful, this time Cam Talbot will be transformed into the Zuul dog when he puts this mask on…"

Now, the question is if Talbot can be the player worthy of that nickname, especially after just one season in the NHL.
