The Cleveland Cavaliers are in an excellent position to acquire Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves but they seem to be be unable to get back over the fine line of being careful and being overly cautious to the point it’s detrimental to negotiations.

More from Chicago Bulls

According to Gerry Wolfel from the Racince Journal Times, should the Cavaliers continue to balk at trade talks with the Wolves and continue to pull assets in and out, the Chicago Bulls could swoop in and offer Nikola Mirotic and other assets like draft picks to get Love in Chicago after all.

Woelfel specifically cites Mirotic as an option but draft picks could be a kicker in the trade for Love even if a bidding war ensues. Cleveland has shown an inability to pull anything off or be willing to include anything of value in a Love trade which opens the door for the Chicago Bulls to swoop in and shake things up by possibly landing Love out of the complete and utter blue.
