The Chicago Bulls were once in the discussion to land Kevin Love in a trade but they moved away from that scenario to focus on possible landing Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks.

More from Chicago Bulls

Now that Melo is back in New York, the Bulls are coming out of nowhere to dominate the Kevin Love trade talks and may have even jumped into the lead to acquire him.

According to Chris Sheridan from Sheridan Hoops, the trade offer that the Chicago Bulls supposedly submitted to the Minnesota Timberwolves is being viewed as more attractive than that of anything the Cavaliers are offering at the moment.

"The source who spoke to SheridanHoops said he believed the Bulls offer was better in the minds of the Wolves than the Cavs’ current offer of Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a No. 1 pick."

This is both good news for the Cavs and bad news at the same time. It’s very possible that the Wolves are just saying that the Bulls offered them this trade to get the Cavaliers to pony up what Minnesota wants to receive in return for Kevin Love. The bad news though is that if this offer is real and not a smokescreen out of Minneapolis, then it’s a way more attractive deal than what Cleveland is offering at the moment.
