The trade talks are heating up between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves in regards to Kevin Love moving on to play with LeBron James in Cleveland.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

The one issue that currently has the trade at a stalemate is the fact that the Cavaliers do not want to give up No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, while the Timberwolves are unwilling to trade Love without getting Wiggins in return.

Another major issue in the trade talks is that the Cavaliers have stated that they plan on signing Andrew Wiggins this week, which means the team would be unable to trade him for thirty days after the fact.

In that thirty-day period, if in fact Wiggins signs with the Cavaliers this week, the Timberwolves and Love may mull over trade offers from other teams such as the Chicago Bulls.

LeBron James returned to Cleveland in hopes of winning a title next year, not in two or three years. Attaining Kevin Love will aid him in winning a title next year, whereas Wiggins is simply unknown because he has never played an NBA game in his life.

It will be interesting to see if the Cavaliers change their stance and trade-off Wiggins for the potential to win a title next season.
