All offseason, we’ve had to deal with the argument as to who the best cornerback in the NFL is. Is it Richard Sherman or Patrick Peterson? Well, for as much as people want to debate that to death, New York Jets corner Dee Milliner wants you to know that he should be added into that discussion.

More from New York Jets

In speaking to the New York Daily News after practice on Saturday, Milliner had no hesitation in stating that he’s the best the game has to offer from the cornerback position.

“The best corner in the league? Me,” Milliner told the Daily News after practice on Saturday. “I ain’t gonna say that somebody else is better than me.”

To add to that, Milliner once again reiterated that there’s no way that he’s going to admit that someone is better than him at what he does.

“I’m not going to say somebody that plays the same position is better than me,” Milliner said. “Don’t care if they’ve been in the league 10 years and I’ve been here five months. That’s how it’s going to go. I’m the best. I’m not going to say that another man that plays the same position… and say he’s better than me? I can’t do that.”

It’s no surprise that someone that plays on a defense run by Rex Ryan has that much confidence in himself.

After struggling to begin his rookie season last year, Milliner really turned it up down the stretch, even earning himself Rookie of the Month honors for December.
