Things got a little spooky for Vin Scully during Friday night’s telecast. The legendary Dodgers broadcaster began hearing extra voices in his headset, and couldn’t figure out where they were coming from.

More from Los Angeles Dodgers

What the hell? Did a mischievous ghost somehow get into Vin Scully’s headset? Was God almighty trying to speak to Vin Scully through his headset? Was some giant a-hole trying to mess with Vin Scully?

Why would someone mess with dear old Vin Scully? That’s cold, man.

In typical Vin Scully fashion, Vin Scully remains calm throughout the headset disembodied voice crisis. Eventually Vin figures out that there are some random people standing below the booth and an open mic is picking up their voices.

Vin, in typical self-deprecating fashion, decides that the random conversation in his headset is more interesting than anything he has to say. Soon the voices disappear, and Vin is sad that they are gone.

Vin Scully doing play-by-play on his own headset malfunction is more compelling than most sports broadcasts. He is truly a legend.
