The Jaguars have a veteran quarterback in Chad Henne to lead the offense, and he is pointing towards offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch for the potential success of the offense. Henne said Fisch has given the Jaguars the tools to succeed.
“He’s pretty much given us all the tools. Whatever we see out there, if we have to throw it every down because they’re giving so many guys at the line of scrimmage, we’ll throw it,’’ Henne said, via the Florida Times Union.
He added, “It’s still difficult at times because the defense is throwing everything at us right now, but if we see something we like, we have the green light to go get it. That’s what makes a good quarterback in this league, getting in the right plays,’’ he said.
“Jedd has been putting a lot in our shoulders, more audibles, but it’s really just taking ownership of it. If I see something out there and I check out of something, he gets excited. It’s exciting for us because it shows him that we’re understanding the defense, understanding the offense and getting in the best plays that will work,’’ Henne said.
