The Los Angeles Lakers officially announced today at a press conference that former Lakers great Byron Scott will be their new head coach next season.

During the press conference, Scott fielded a ton of questions from the media, and was asked to give his thoughts on whether or not Los Angeles has been taken over by the Clippers franchise. Check out his response below:

Lakers fans will certainly be delighted to hear those words come from their new coaches mouth, but they will have to wait and see if he can prove it on the court next season.
Former Lakers greats Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Jamaal Wilkes showed up at the press conference as well to voice their support for Scott as the new head coach.
