The San Francisco Giants haven’t been doing all that great with their recent acquisition of Dan Uggla, but that seems to be changing rather soon.

More from MLB Trade Rumors

It’s hard to say which way the Uggla cookie will crumble, but it looks like either the team will be cutting him loose or are impressed enough with what he’s done to keep him in the organization in some way.

According to two separate reports, the Giants have in fact not let Dan Uggla go yet and haven’t made a decision on his future with the team.

There was a report late on Wednesday night that Uggla had been released by the Giants as part of a pair of roster moves — the other involving Tyler Colvin — but it looks like he’s not yet been cut.

It’s been a hard and harsh fall from the top for Uggla, who was once a to player with the then-Florida Marlins but failed miserably with the Atlanta Braves and now may be done with the Giants after less than a month of being there.
