The Minnesota Vikings are in desperate need of a franchise quarterback. The last seven or so seasons the Vikings have relied heavily on Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson, but he can not do it by himself.

Teams around the NFL began stacking the box against the Vikings knowing that most of their plays will be a run. Ultimately, the team became extremely predictable.
Adrian Peterson was recently quoted saying that the Vikings offense will no longer be predictable, but rather they will be versatile. With that being said, the quarterback on the Vikings roster that would make the team most versatile is seemingly their first round pick and former Louisville star Teddy Bridgewater.
After a poor day at training camp for Matt Cassel, Bridgewater began taking some first team snaps.

The Vikings are apparently giving Bridgewater all the opportunity in the world to steal the starting job from Cassel during training camp, but only time will tell if he is able to do so.
Thus far word has been that Bridgewater has looked excellent in camp. If he continues to be productive, there should be no reason why he would not be the opening game starter for the Vikings in September.
