When reports surfaced that the Oakland Raiders were looking into a potential relocation to San Antonio, they were brushed off as something that we shouldn’t look too much into.

However, the San Antonio officials seem to believe otherwise.

Richard Perez, the president and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, said that the Raiders owner Mark Davis “has indeed given us a serious look, and we’re going to see where this takes us.”

“I will you tell that I felt very, very comfortable and confident that his word was true,” Perez said on Sirius XM Radio. “And he said, ‘Look, you know, I’m not telling you that I’m coming today, but I will tell you that I’m looking, and you all are definitely someone that we’re looking very closely at.’”

It would be very interesting to see whether or not the Raiders eventually leave Oakland, which is a real possibility without a new stadium, and we should start giving more serious consideration to a move to the Lone Star state.
