Giants’ Odell Beckham ruled out of preseason opener against Bills in Hall of Fame Game
By Jack Crosby
On Sunday night, the New York Giants will get the 2014 NFL preseason get kicked off when they square off in Canton with the Buffalo Bills for the Hall of Fame Game, but when they take the field, they will be without their first-round draft pick, wide receiver Odell Beckham.
According to Ebenezer Samuel, who covers the Giants for the New York Daily News, Beckham was one of two players on the team that did not make the trip to Canton for the game.
This is not shocking news by any means, as the rookie speedster has not practiced with the team since last week, as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. This is an injury that he has dealt with since back during OTAs when he debuted with the organization.

The relationship between the Giants and the former LSU standout has gotten off to a rocky start, at best. As Beckham continues to deal with the hamstring injury, you could see the coaching staff, especially Tom Coughlin, becoming more and more annoyed as time goes on.
We will eventually see whether or not Beckham can ultimately be a big contributor on this team like a lot of people thought he would, but we just won’t see that on Sunday against the Bills.
